New Delhi, India: On January 21, Tuesday, the Rashtrapati Bhavan announced the opening date for Amrit Udyan 2025. As per the report of the Press Information Bureau, the gates of the garden will be open on February 2, 2025, and visitors can visit the garden till March 30, 2025. Amrit Udyan, previously known as the Mughal Garden, attracts thousands of visitors daily for its stunning views, plants and flowers, birds, and the grandeur of the President’s house. The garden also has a children’s park and a café.
Closing Days
Except for Mondays, when the garden is closed for repair, visitors can explore the well-known Rashtrapati Bhavan garden six days a week from 10 AM to 6 PM.
Due to festivals and events, the Udyan will also be closed. The following is a list of these holidays:
- February 5: Due to Delhi Legislative Assembly Elections
- February 20 and 21: Due to the Visitors’ Conference at Rashtrapati Bhavan
- March 14: Holi festival
The President’s Secretariat on Tuesday notified that the garden will be open for special categories on these days:
- March 26 – for differently-abled persons
- March 27 – for personnel of defense, paramilitary and police forces
- March 28 – for women and tribal women’s SHGs
- March 29 – for senior citizens
Entry Details and Shuttle Service
Gate No.35 of the President’s Estate, located near North Avenue will be open for entry and exit to the Udyan. For easy accessibility, a shuttle bus service will be running from the Central Secretariat Metro Station to Gate No. 35 every 30 minutes, from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM.

Amrit Udyan is open to visit for all. Reservations can be made online at visit.rashtrapatibhavan.gov.in, but walk-in entry is also an option for those who choose to visit spontaneously.
Amrit Udyan Nearest Metro
For those looking for Amrit Udyan’s nearest metro, it is the Central Secretariat, lying on the Yellow Line. It is around 1.5 km from the garden, and you can easily take an auto from the station.
A Cultural Exhibition: “Vividhta Ka Amrit Mahotsav”
During the Amrit Udyan celebrations, Rashtrapati Bhavan will host the Vividhta Ka Amrit Mahotsav from March 6-9, 2025. The great southern cultural heritage would be represented for an immersive experience for the audience with the southern music, tastes, and arts.
