Agra Fort has a rich history with the original establishment, led by Rajput rulers. The end of the First Battle of Panipat (1526) resulted in Ibrahim Lodhi shifting to this fort. Later, the Mughal King Babur took over the fort. In 1565, its reconstruction started and was completed in 1573, became the main residence of Akbar.
