Qutub Minar Timing

Qutub Minar is open from 7:00 AM until 5:00 PM daily, and entry is allowed up to 4:30 PM. The monument is not open at night, so it’s best to visit it during the day. Avoiding the afternoons during the peak tourist season makes visiting the Qutub Minar early in the morning advisable.

Winters, between October to March, are the best time for travellers to visit Qutub Minar because cool and pleasant weather conditions prevail. Historical Significance of Qutub Minar

Qutub Minar is an architectural wonder and a symbol of India’s rich Islamic history. The minaret was built to celebrate the victory of Qutb-ud-Din Aibak over the last Hindu kingdom of Delhi. It was originally meant to serve as a tower for the call to prayer at the Quwwat-ul-Islam mosque, which is located right next to it.

The successive rulers, such as Shams-ud-Din Iltutmish and Ala-ud-Din Khilji, expanded the minaret over time.
