Taj Mahal Tickets Online Booking

You can get your Taj Mahal mausoleum ticket while booking your Taj entry tickets to save yourself from a long queue. The main Taj Mahal ticket, which covers entry into the mausoleum for foreigners, costs INR 1250. If you are a visitor from a BIMSTEC or SAARC country, the Taj Mahal ticket charge is INR 735.

How to Book Your Taj Mahal Tickets Online

  • Visit the official site tajmahal.gov.in
  • Click on the tab ‘Buy Only Tickets Click Here’ or ‘Taj Mahal Night Viewing Tickets’
  • You will visit the ASI site Archaeological Survey of India, asi.paygov.org.in
  • Select Agra in the City column and ‘Taj Mahal Night View’ under ‘Monuments’
  • Select your date and time
  • Click on Proceed

Taj Mahal Night Viewing Tickets

An entry ticket to see the monument at night be bought 24 hours in advance from the Archaeological Survey of India office. The place for buying the tickets is on Agra Mall Road, between 10:00 am and 06:00 pm. An Indian adult pays INR 510 to visit the monument. International tourists need to pay INR 750 for the entry ticket. Children aged between 3 to 15 years have to pay INR 500 to enter the monument.

However, in a month, in totality, 400 tourists are allowed entry to the Taj complex. 400 are stratified into eight groups of 50 members. The Taj is open only for five days of the month on a full moon night and two days before and after the full moon night except Fridays. The visit at night could be as short as 30 minutes between 08:30 pm and 12:30 am.

Taj Mahal Timing: When To Visit Iconic Monument

The Taj Mahal is open throughout the week. However, on Fridays, entry is allowed only for Muslims to perform afternoon (Namaz). The opening time of the Taj Mahal is 30 minutes before sunrise and the closing time is half an hour after sunset. Inside the museum, it is open from 10 AM to 5 PM.
